Reading through the paper the other day and saw some article saying something significant. That sounds like a rarity in today's Internets and tabloid age, right? Wrong. I need to give it up for The Times, a Sunday Times spin-off, for always being informative. Thank ya. Now that's through I need to tell you about this YouTube channel that did a sort-alike one of my fav TV shows The Office. It's called NotOnTVSA. Shit happens. And when it happens it hits fans. I'm referring to this FIFA World Cup that's keeping me and the whole world on the edge of their couches. If your country (or fav team) is still in the running "Lucky you". A lot of these big reputation teams are getting sent home packing with bruised egoes. Even four-time world champs (and titleholders), Italy got knocked out yesterday. As I said on twitter after I watched Germany get their ass whooped by Serbia, this World Cup is in Africa. It doesn't care how big you (think) are.
This World Cup also inspires a lot of opportunities. Unfortunately, it also inspires opportunities for corniness. Especially in music. I'm seeing a lot of insignificant garbage-ass music. I am, however, missing one song. Imbube's "AmaVuvuzela". That's one of the greatest "depiction" songs of this year (even though it came out 2 years ago). So I got the video to the remix featuring HHP, Young Nations, F-Eezy and Driemanskap. Real dope. Check it out. And stay tuned...

I'm talking about BLK JKS They will be one of the acts performing on June 10, 2010 at the FIFA World Cup Concert at Soccer City, Soweto. These dudes are big (like really big. It's a new day. and I'm sneezing and sniffing (That bich winter is back peoPle). Speaking of returns, I know I skipped a post yesterday but I have a very good reason for that.... yesterday was 4/21 and I had to celebraaaate a holiday (can't tell you which). Today I go different. No music video, but I do have an interview in which he answers Andile Ncube's questions in freestyle. This was when he had just left his major label Gallo for TS Records. SAMAs happened on Saturday night (April 16) a lot happened. Winners won, non-winners watched. Attention-seekers did their thing. And the rest is history.
One thing that was on everybody's (and I mean eeeverybody's lips) was Pro (formerly ProKid) not getting nominated for no awards. Zilch. Nada. Null. Besides the fact that I'm a Pro fan, dude is a staple. Not only in South African hip hop, but music in general. His absence at the awared got me WTF-ing, and SMH-ing (I love twitter). So this whole week I'm gonna quit my anti-blog tendencies (Waddup Juju) and pay homage to Mr Soweto. Five Pro videos for every day of this week. Yes, five of his best music videos.
